What's Your Internet IQ?While 80% of Americans are using the Internet, a recent Pew Research Institute survey found that the nation’s Internet IQ might not be up to snuff.

Charleston’s Post and Courier announced several of the findings from the survey in an article last week, including:

  • 56% of respondents incorrectly believe that website privacy policies guarantee that users’ data will remain confidential.
  • Nearly 40% could not correctly identify the definition of net neutrality.
  • Only 23% of respondents were aware that the Internet and the World Wide Web are two different entities (the former is the actual network, the latter the means by which data is translated)
